Services Available
-
Chimney Sweeping
Every sweep includes a thorough inspection of your appliance and flue system, full sweep, appliance clean, smoke draw test and the issuing of a certificate, providing it is a safe and compliant system.
I use a HEPA rated vacuum, floor coverings and stove sheets to maintain a clean working environment and protect your property.
*I will require access to a power source and household waste bin to provide this service.
-
CCTV Inspections
A thorough CCTV inspection of the entire flue system, used to visually access the condition of the flue and identify any blockages or faults within the system.
I use a high resolution camera for this service and a copy of the inspection video can be sent to you.
This service is usually an 'add-on' if any issues are identified during a sweep and need further investigation and is charged in addition to the original quoted sweeping fee.
-
Bird Nest Removals
An initial CCTV inspection to determine the nature of any blockage, a sweep to remove it and a post removal CCTV inspection to confirm the flue is clear and safe for use.
Should a live nest be identified I will not remove it, as it is an offence under the Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981 to destroy it.
It is therefore advised to arrange removal outside of nesting season, between September and January.
-
Maintenance
I can source the below replacement parts and provide a full fitting service for *most stoves and log burners:
-Rope Seals
-Fire Bricks
-Baffle Plates
-Lining Plates
-Glass
*Should I be unable to source any parts via my suppliers, I can offer advice on where you can obtain them and provide a fitting only service once the parts arrive.
-
Chemical Treatment
When a flue has a considerable build up of tar or glazed creosote, chemical treatment will be required to remove it.
Depending on the stage of build up, I may be able to supply the chemical treatment needed for your flue.
In extreme cases you may require a more specialist service that I do not currently provide, but this will be assessed on a case by case basis.
