Terms & Conditions

 By booking with Reeve Chimney Sweeping Services, you are agreeing to the below terms and conditions and accept that the person making the booking is liable for payment in respect of the work undertaken.

  • -Appliances must not be used for 24 hours leading up to the appointment to ensure they are safe to sweep.

    -I will require access to a general waste bin to dispose of the material removed from the system.

    -I will require access to a 240v power source to provide all services.

  • -Whilst every effort will be made to meet the booked appointment time, on occasion I may be running up to an hour ahead of, or behind schedule.

    -In the event of any change greater than 1 hour, an attempt will be made to contact you.

  • -I will send you an automatic reminder for your booked appointment both 2 weeks and 1 day prior via SMS.

    -If you can no longer keep to your appointment, please contact me to rearrange at the earliest opportunity.

    -If an appointment has not already been made, I will send you an automatic reminder that your sweep is due 1 month before the expiry date of your current certificate.

  • -Certificates are issued at the end of the appointment, providing the system is safe and compliant.

    -All certificates are kept in my records for 2 years and copies can be sent via email when requested.

  • -In the event that a sweep cannot be undertaken due to the system being non-compliant or found to be in an unsafe condition, a warning notice will be issued on the appliance, the fee for this is fixed at £50.

    -The reason for the warning notice being issued will be explained and where possible, shown to you.

    -The issuing of a warning notice renders the system unsafe for use until repaired or made compliant and therefore prevents me from being able to sweep the system and certify it on that visit.

    -The use of an appliance with a warning notice placed on it is very dangerous and strictly prohibited, doing so would be at your own risk and at detriment to your own safety and well-being.

    -Once the system has been repaired or made compliant however, please contact me and I will return to sweep and certify the system for you, at the cost of the original quoted sweeping fee.

  • -Payment is accepted via cash or bank transfer.

    -Cash payments are due upon completion of the appointment.

    -Bank transfer payments are due within 24 hours of the appointment.
