  • The main aim of having your chimney regularly swept is to prevent a build up of soot, creosote and tar within the system which could lead to a chimney fire. In addition, regular sweeping reduces the risk of dangerous fumes being emitted into your property and allows a greater amount of air to be drawn up through the system, increasing the overall efficiency of your appliance.

  • We cover large areas of Hampshire and Wiltshire, including but not limited to:

  • Run as a seasonal business, I operate between 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday and 9am - 1pm on Saturdays from late July through to early April the following year.

  • This varies depending on the system and property access, but usually between 45 minutes and 1.5 hours, with most sweeps taking around 1 hour.

  • This depends on the amount of use the system gets and the quality of fuel being burned, most systems with average use require 1 sweep per year.

    If however, your appliance is used as a primary heat source, then at least 2 sweeps per year would be required.

    *Please note that most property insurance companies may also stipulate that a minimum of 1 sweep per year is required in order to validate the policy.

  • Yes, we provide a certificate with every sweep, providing the system is safe and compliant.

  • We use a mix of both a traditional manual and rotary power sweeping.

    The method we use on the day depends on the appliance and flue system.
